An English phenomenon with a violin in his hand, Nigel Kennedy is known for his virtuoso performance of classical music, but also for his improvisations and use of, for example, the cadence of legendary guitarist Jimi Hendrix in a Beethoven violin concert, and the introduction of elements of jazz in classical music. Kennedy, according to music experts, has done much to popularize classical music among young people.
